Takamatsu with friends: 3 days, 2 nights.

Out on the Kotoden by day, table tennis and films at the stay by night. An itinerary for groups that works without a car.

Day 1 — Sunset and night views from Yashima

1. Arrive
   Take the airport limousine bus to Kawaramachi (about 30 min, adults ¥1,000), then the Kotoden Shido Line for two stops to Matsushima-Nichome; the stay is a 4-minute walk away. Check in from 15:00.
2. Evening
   In the late afternoon, stay on the Shido Line for four more stops to Kotoden-Yashima, then take the shuttle bus to the summit (about 10 min).
3. Night
   From the top you can look out over the Seto Inland Sea and the city.On Fridays, Saturdays and the evening before public holidays, the shuttle also runs at night, so you can go up for the night view (no service on days the summit facility is closed).
4. Note
   The shuttle does not run often.When you reach the top, check the time of the bus back first.

Day 2 — The 785 steps of Konpira-san

1. Morning
   Take the Kotoden to Kawaramachi, change to the Kotohira Line and ride to the end of the line, Kotoden-Kotohira (about 1 hour from Kawaramachi).
2. Steps
   Kotohira-gu Shrine (Konpira-san) has 785 stone steps up to the main shrine. Wear comfortable shoes.
3. Lunch
   The approach is lined with shops.Have Sanuki udon for lunch.
4. Night
   Back in Takamatsu, have dinner at the stay — there is a kitchen, so shopping at a supermarket and cooking together works well.

Evenings: table tennis and films

YOI NO HOSHI has a table tennis table and a projector. Paddles and balls are in the room, at no extra charge. The table is available until 22:00; after that, please keep it quiet and watch a film.

Day 3 — A walk in Ritsurin Garden, then to the airport

1. 10:00
   Check out by 10:00.Take the Kotoden to Kawaramachi, change to the Kotohira Line and get off at the next stop, Ritsurin-Koen. The garden is about a 7-minute walk.
2. Fees
   Admission is ¥500 for adults.You can leave bags in the coin lockers by the East Gate (¥200–¥400).
3. Return
   The airport limousine bus stops at Ritsurin-koen-mae, right by the garden: about 30 minutes to the airport (adults ¥1,000). Buses are timed to flights, so check the timetable.

Into art? Make Day 2 a trip to Naoshima instead. Boat times are in “From Takamatsu Port to Naoshima, Teshima and Shodoshima”.

Getting around

1. TIP 1The Kotoden trains, Kotoden buses and the Yashima shuttle all accept transport IC cards such as Suica and ICOCA.
